Slayd Apparel’s story is rooted in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood. Publicly available brand posts show Slayd Apparel sharing children’s fashion and family-oriented style as early as April 2016, when the brand highlighted jeans, T-shirts, school wear, and birthday gear. That early message captured what still makes Slayd special: fashion should be expressive, accessible, and fun enough to become part of the moments families remember.
Over time, Slayd Apparel became known locally as an all-ages clothing store at 748 East Warrington Avenue. The location was listed in a 2022 Tribune-Review guide to Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood, and the Allentown Pgh Night Market later featured Slayd Apparel as a small business offering unique kids’ and family wear from Europe and Asia.
